Boise Cascade Office Products

Position: Sales Administration (Education) / Personal Assistant.

Boise Cascade Office Products is an American based office stationery Company situated in Mulgrave. Boise supply office stationery to Education departments and corporate customers.

Responsibilities of Sales Administration Education/Personal Assistant:

  • Co-ordination of Administration duties for the processing and rolling of quotes and orders.

  • Produce, copy and distribute 'Individual forms' to schools.

  • Organise paperwork, cash floats and equipment for school 'sell days'.

  • Employ, training and supervision of 5 Data Entry clerks and approximately 20 Sellers during the peak period.

  • Produce Quotations.

  • Data Entry (Order processing and Invoicing).

  • Customer Service.

  • Credit note collation and processing.

  • Liaise with freight companies, schools, parents and school children and Boise internal departments.

  • Assisting in obtaining current costing for all stock line products and non stock line items.

  • Selling of students packs at their school or from the offices of Boise.

SIA Australia Pty Ltd has it’s corporate head quarters and manufacturing facility in Rowville, Victoria, with branches and distribution outlets in New Zealand and all Australian states. SIA Australia Pty Ltd currently employ 37 staff members; 11 sales Representatives, 12 Factory staff, 2 Store staff, 9 Administration staff and 3 Upper Management personnel.

Responsibilities of Sales Administration Supervisor:

  • Office Manager
  • Administration staff supervision of 4 staff members.
  • Training of existing and new employees.
  • Plan, co-ordinate and perform rolling and quarterly stock takes.
  • Liaise with major Australian and New Zealand clients. This involves presentations, special pricing on a promotion being run, first point of call for the clients when they have any enquires, invoicing and collation of paperwork.
  • Relief personal assistant duties to the Managing Director and Sales Manager.

**Packwell went into receivership and the Australian operations were disbanded in June 1993.

HAAN / Develco Lighting Company

Position: Assistant Accountant.

HAAN Australia Pty Ltd was a manufacturing company of electrical heaters, run by three Directors (1 in Sydney and 2 in Melbourne). They employed 12 permanent staff, increasing to approximately 24 during the winter season.

Responsibilities of Assistant Accountant:

  • Cash book balancing.
  • Bank reconciliations.
  • Computer entries of General Ledger.
  • Report writing.
  • Office manager.
  • Setting up and payment of letter of credits.
  • Payroll.
  • Accounting duties and reporting to an outside Accountant.

**HAAN Australia Pty Ltd was sold to a Geelong based company with full local staffing facilities. No Melbourne staff were retained.
